President Obama has had a lot on his plate lately, especially considering he just successfully oversaw the killing of America's most wanted Osama bin Laden. Today on Oprah, Barack and Michelle, who have been married for 18 years, suggested their strong relationship helps them confront the challenges of the office together.

Michelle said the biggest sacrifice is living in a bubble; she can't go to Target, unless she wants to mess up everyone else's shopping experience. The president agreed, explaining he can't do anything outside of the White House grounds that is spontaneous. "You can't take a walk," the president explained, or go out with your daughters to get ice cream. Based on her experience, Michelle had some marriage advice for young Americans, too: "Don't expect it to be easy." The first lady said a marriage has to be a true partnership, and it's crucial that you like and respect each other. See more of the first couple chatting with Oprah below.
