How Did You Write Your Wedding Vows?

Hilary Duff fessed up to casing the Internet for ideas to write vows for her wedding last weekend. After looking through other couples' weddings, she and husband Mike Comrie settled on a few poems and a ring blessing.

While there's plenty of books on the subject, you don't have to spend money to figure out what to say. If you're married, how did you find the words? And if you'd like to share your favorite wedding poems or sayings, do it now. Or forever hold your peace!

We didn't write ours, and looking back maybe that was a mistake. It might have been a mistake for only for one reason, though, and that's because we got married in Vegas by some dude I'd never met or seen before. He went ON and ON, and most of it was religious, which I didn't know to expect in VEGAS. I couldn't be further from religious, so it was REALLY awkward. I even had family members there, and they're like me, so I know it was painfully dragged out for them, too. lol...so WEIRD!

I did the traditional ones, but without the "obey" part.

We did not have a religious ceremony, though our vows weren't all that different (just no references to God, obviously). Our officiant gave us a few sets of non-religious vows and we combined our favorite parts of those to form ours. They were about respecting each other and stuff like that - pretty standard :)

I didn't. I had a religious ceremony and we said traditional vows.
