Did You Have Sex on the First Date With Your Current Partner?

Thanks to the sexual revolution, women can have sex whenever they want to without too much social opprobrium. That being said, some people think that if you want a monogamous relationship, there's one hard-and-fast rule: don't have sex on the first date. Since blanket statements never account for the realities of the individuals involved, there are always exceptions to "the rule."

Have you ripped your date's clothes off on the first date and then found yourself dating for some length of time, or actually having a relationship?

I must admit I went out with a very hot guy that I met online, we went out for drinks, went to a club, went back to my house and fooled around a bit, we stopped and I dropped him off at his place, we went up fooled around a bit, next morning we drove to my job and made out on in my classroom on my desk, the floor, etc. By the end of our 24 hour date we had sex had time to talk about it and decided not to see each other again. I received a call the next day and he wanted to go out again, I explained that I do not know what had come over me, and that if he was expecting to have sex again to move on. We dated without having any sex or touching each other for over five months. In December of that year he proposed to me after inviting me and my two children to visit his family in Michigan. I accepted. It is now four years later and we are still married and have two beautiful daughters. Things are hectic and crazy, but we have it all. I guess you never know until it happens to you:) I was not the sleep on the first date kind of person, especially not after watching my mother die the previous year of AIDS. I cannot explain what happen, but I guess it was meant to be. My husband later confesses that he knew I was the one when we first met. He tells me all the time that there was something special about me that pulled him towards me. I am not a romantic but he is very romantic so I guess that works out for me. I waited 3 dates before i slept with my ex. and it didnt go that far.. But went out with someone else and it lasted longer after sleeping with him after 5 dates. It really depends. I would sleep with a guy on the 1st date if it feels rite!

I have done it on same dates but not all. When u spend time with someone u can kinda tell if they in to you or just wanna have sex. My current boyfriend yes been together for 4 years and hooking up started out as a joke will be marrying this guy in a few months. ps there are some guys who are just hot

Yes! On virtually all my relationships. If I want it, I get it. Good sex is important. If there is more to him then good sex I will date him. The two men I have lived with I had sex with them before we started dating. Also, I'm not looking for marriage. Not my thing.

Technically, it was the second date, which was the day after our first date. We've been together ever since and are getting married in November!

Yes! We'd known each other over 2 years and just wanted to rip each others clothes off by this point, though. ;) The "date" was just a formality. We've been together over a year now and live together happily.

Not on the first date, no. He didn't even give me a kiss! (Not that I didn't want one...) But we texted each other a lot talking about when we'd "make-out" and I was hesitant to go all the way at first just because I didn't want him to think of me as easy, but I changed my mind and don't regret it at all. We are still together and I am utterly in love with him.

i've done it on the 1st date and other times made them wait....but i'm still single, so i guess it just depends on the chemistry and the person. sometimes there's just a huge attraction and you can't wait to rip off soemone's clothes....actually that happened to me at a wedding last saturday....whoops...but i will be seeing him again this weekend.

I never thought I would have sex on the first date, but i was young and we had been friends for a while before we tried going for a relationship...5 yrs (plus) and we are still together. Rare, but i guess my instincts were right about him

We didn't on the first date... I don't think I made him wait too long though. However, if you ask HIM he says we did. In fact he's convinced we did.

No, My current boyfriend (who will be my husband eventually) was my first and we waited a few weeks from our actual first date (we met online and talked for a week before seeing each other in person). I knew when I met him he was the one, but up until that point, I swore that I'd wait for until marriage. :p

No way. Damn. I didn't realize what the competition was up to. No wonder it's so hard to get a second date. Guys must think I'm a real prude. I don't like sex without love, so that's what I wait for. Sometimes I fall in love right away, but until I know we are both on the same page... I just can't risk feeling used. My last boyfriend and I waited about a month and a half. We were madly in love. I guess we still are actually.

well, I was dating in the '70s so did sometimes get down and dirty on the first date - with my husband of 29 years, we actually had sex first, then started dating - a little backwards perhaps but it seems to have worked.
