Worst Dating Advice For Women
5 Things Single Women Never Want to Hear
Doesn't it seem like just about everyone is full of advice for the single girls in their lives? Friends in long-term relationships, co-workers who are married — even grandma has something to say about the situation. No matter how well meaning the advice, we're breaking down the five things you should never say to a single girl. That is, unless you love a good eye roll.
Misguided advice: "Don't be so picky."
Why it's lame: She deserves the best guy out there for her, no matter how long she's been single. Telling her she's being too picky implies she needs to lower her standards. Don't make her feel bad for dismissing a guy who lacks the qualities she's looking for.

Misguided advice: "You're looking in the wrong places."
Why it's lame: There's no such thing as the wrong place. Be it a bar, online, or at church, she can find someone anywhere if the situation is right; giving such advice may discourage her from being open to different possibilities.
Misguided advice: "You're too intimidating."
Why it's lame: Whether it's because of her job, her education, or her looks, telling her she's intimidating translates into "Take it down a notch." She is who she is and there's zero reason to hide any part of it to find a mate.
Misguided advice: "Don't chase the guy."
Why it's lame: Unless she's in high school, there are no longer rules when it comes to dating. If she wants to be straightforward (or even play hard to get), it's her prerogative.
Misguided advice: "Your time will come."
Why it's lame: It's not reassuring, even though that's probably your intention. Plus, it makes it seem like everyone else has found someone and she's just waiting her turn. Instead, cheers to how awesome she is, taken or not.
