"Do Cheaters Deserve Revenge?"

We all have had bad relationships and wanted to take revenge at some point for being hurt by the one you love. I was eating lunch today and a friend and I were talking about how much we hate cheaters. She told me a story of what she did to her boyfriend when she found out he was cheating. She didn't tell him she knew instead she talked him into getting a tattoo. She chose it so she wrote her name on paper and kissed the paper with heavy lipstick and had that tattooed on him. After it was all finished, which it took a couple visits to finish, she packed her stuff and said look I even kissed your ass good bye. So now he has her name and lips on his butt.

Someone once told me that the best revenge is to Live Well, and I stand by that. Doing what your friend did does not make her any better than the jerk off she was dating, and it does not say much about her character either. It's pretty cruel no matter how you put it.

The thing about revenge is it really puts you completely on the jerk's level. In other people's eyes you're going to look as bad and be someone they want to avoid as much as the person who messed with you. So you lose sympathy from people you probably respect. It's amazing how taking the higher road pays off in the end, as hard as it can be to not indulge in 'eye for an eye'. You win respect (others know how hard it is not to lash out) and you will be able to feel they really didn't deserve you over time. No guilt, no strings, no problems with the law. The people in the story, they just completely deserved each other actually and I'm sure they both just moved on to others who are just the same.

I think he got his just deserts LOL i wish I'd thought of it. Maybe the next guy will know better. Never let people walk on you. Some times it just feels good to release anger. Some want to pin it up until they explode in a major way which causes more damage.

Karma's a bitch. Reaching out to damage someone who's hurt you always slingshots back, at some point in your life. Hurting someone back, that revenge thing, just continues a damaging cycle, sends out a antagonistic vibe, and the people who respond to that antagonistic vibe are going to be the kinds of people who are also antagonistic, and do something....revenge worthy. She thinks it's funny now. She won't think it's so funny if she finds herself dealing with the same kind of guy, doing the same kinds of crap that po'd her before. No offense, but it's time for the both of you to grow up and realize that intentionaly hurting someone who hurt you isn't an answer. pretty ugly stuff.
