Actually, many studies have shown that couple who cohabit before marriage are way more likely to divorce. Check out Rutgers University's study on the subject. And, well being that Sweden has the highest divorce rate of all developed nations I really don't think we should take marriage advice from them.

I think more people should adopt the Swedish tradition of living together for a couple of years before marriage. Sure, there would be less actual marriages, but there would also be less divorce!
